Settings

What's actually configurable — there is no settings panel.

Note

NØISE has no dedicated settings/preferences window. Everything configurable lives inline in the module you're using — there's nothing hidden behind a gear icon to go looking for.

What is persisted between launches

  • Every module's expand/collapse state (see Layout).
  • Your chosen audio input/output devices, channel, and related audio settings (see Audio I/O).
  • Theme (dark/light) and zoom level (100%/115%) — see Layout.
  • The language (EN, NL, DE, FR, ES, IT), chosen from the two-letter chip in the top bar.
  • Your song library.

All of this is stored in standard macOS UserDefaults and the app's Application Support folder — there is no exported "settings file" and no in-app way to view or edit these values directly, aside from the developer-facing Debug Panel, which can reset audio settings specifically.

What exists in the underlying code but has no UI

The app's models define some visual settings (like CRT-style rendering parameters for the oscilloscope/VU meter) that have no user-facing control in this version — they're fixed at their defaults. If a future version adds a settings panel, this page will be the place that documents it.
