NØISEEN

Make songs with AI

Make songs with your own AI

An open MCP endpoint that turns a song you describe into a real NØISE song, with your own model doing the thinking.

Say "make 4 Non Blondes – What's Up for NØISE" to whichever AI you already use, and get back a .noisesong file that opens in NØISE: chords, sections, tempo, key, tuning, and the guitar grips.

The way that works is a Model Context Protocol server at:

https://noise-app.com/api/mcp

It is public, needs no account, and works with any MCP-capable client. Your model never leaves your machine unless you want it to.

Who does what

The split matters, because it is what makes the results trustworthy.

Your model brings the song knowledge. What key What's Up is in, roughly how fast it goes, which chords the chorus uses. No server can know that better than a model that has read the internet.

This server owns the format. It knows what a NØISE song can hold, which values are legal, how a chord symbol parses, what NØISE's own guitar grips are, and how to write a file the app will actually open. It validates everything you send and tells you precisely what was wrong.

So the server guarantees consistency — it parses, it fits the key, the schema is right, the grip is real. It cannot guarantee correctness: whether your model actually remembered the chords. That is why check_chords and chord_shapes exist. Ask for the grips rather than inventing fret numbers, and check the chords rather than hoping.

Warning

A small local model will sometimes be confidently wrong about a song's chords or tempo. Ask it to say how sure it is — the make_song prompt does. A wrong chord you were warned about is fine; one presented as fact is not.

What you get back

Every successful build hands you three things:

  • the .noisesong file — a download link. Open it in NØISE, or drop it on the app, and the song is staged for import. Nothing is added without you confirming.
  • the song's page on this site, with the chart, to send to a bandmate.
  • a noise://song?d=… link — the whole song in one address — only when you ask for one (link: true).
