Tuner

The TUNER plate — the note beside a cents gauge with a needle, and the six strings of your tuning.

The tuner listens to your guitar through the input and shows pitch live.

TUNER panel with note name, cents indicator and per-string display

Opening it

TUNER in the transport bar (T), or the T key. While it's on it is a plate in the left panel, titled TUNER with your tuning beside it ("Tuning · Standard"); an IN TUNE LED in the title block lights when you're there.

Click its screens to see them big. Since 0.71 a click lifts the same two screens — the meter and the strings — onto a wide sheet under SESSION, at twice the size: on an iPad on a stand the rack's tuner is a squint from where you play. ESC or a click beside the sheet closes it; the plate keeps listening underneath.

Display

  • On the left, a large note name beside a cents gauge from −50 to +50, in 5-cent steps, with the in-tune window marked on it. A needle sits at the reading and a number beside the gauge says how many cents sharp or flat you are. No octave and no Hz. Green when you're in tune, amber as you drift, red far out; amber also when you're in tune with a note that isn't one of this tuning's strings. Shows "--" when there's no signal for more than 1.5 seconds.
  • On the right, the 6 strings (high E to low E, top to bottom), each with its target note in the tuning you chose in KEY — so drop and open tunings read correctly. The string being played vibrates and takes the same colour ramp: amber on the way, green when in tune.

Calibration

Reference pitch defaults to A440, adjustable from 420–460 Hz for players who tune to 432 or 442 Hz. There's no on-screen calibration control in this build's tuner panel beyond the underlying reference-pitch setting.

Also used silently by scale practice

The tuner's pitch detection also powers the note-finding scale practice, without opening the visible TUNER panel.
